Traditional monoprinting is a form of printmaking that has lines or images that can only be made once, unlike most printmaking, which allows for multiple originals. These "manoprints" were made using the hand as a substrate to paint on and it was then printed onto paper and embellished with pencil.
A thick medium was first applied to the canvas to create a textured affect in these paintings.
